Runyaway Fitness provides unique services to Female only university students that enables work placement to be undertaken on the premises. The fitness centre is run by qualified university graduates, all having degrees in exercise science, exercise physiology and physiotherapy.
In providing this unique service, Runyaway Fitness allows all members the access to free personal training whilst also providing the student with a sufficient amount of experience and hours to complete their university degree and enhance their knowledge.
Runyaway Fitness is in contact with five major universities across Sydney including the:

- University of Western Sydney, Campbelltown
- Sydney University
- University of New South Wales
- University of Technology Sydney

Description of company, business, mission:
Runyaway Fitness is a privately owned fitness centre that aims to provide health and fitness services to the local and wider community. Our services include but are not limited to providing group classes such as boxing, circuit, spin and aerobics, personal training, dietary advice, and an overall educational experience to our members so that they may be able to incorporate health and fitness into their lifestyles with the goal of achieving a positive wellbeing.
Position/Title:
Undergraduate exercise scientists dealing with daily general population members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer service – answering phones, membership enquiries
Gym maintenance – organizing weights into correct order, cardio equipment upkeep, general cleaning, and ensuring the safety of our clients
Personal training – client consultations, body assessments, resistance and cardio training sessions, exercise programming, supplement education
Special skills:
Microsoft Word and excel for writing diets and exercise programmes.
Basic knowledge of resistance, cardio training guidelines and diet advice.

Upon signing of student contracts the working hours will be discussed with the supervisor and student to suit both the student and supervisor. We are very flexible and only ask that you give us 48 hour notice of inability to attend placement on a given shift.
